A brief history on Dromae Dreams: I have this TapestriesMUCK character that's fun to play whenever I'm active, and people dig her. When I went into quarantine I set myself to learning Twine for shits and giggles, with the idea of making a game with/about her in the back of my mind. Then Disco Elysium, loving that game, being interested in its production- I think anyone invested in that game will see how much DD owes to it. And since then it goes well- I've been plucking away at it steadily, even if sometimes it's pretty slow going in terms of wordcount, even if I've had some interruptions from this and that in life. But what's been posted is essentially the first stuff I've made with Twine, polished up a bit as I've learned and chopped off from the whole project for a quick teaser. Right now, the whole project sits at about 50,000 words.

What am I going for with it? The kind of weird, head-spinning erotica that I've always wanted to see. Heart-pounding, mystifying, alluring and repellent, certainly decadent, but also cute, sweet, funny, moving. With not too many moving parts, though there is some elbow room to express yourself, to "build a character", and achieve different endings (One "bad end" is already implemented in the full game).

Ah yes, politics: DD is an anti-colonial tract, anti-imperialist propaganda, a bit anti-capitalist too. Its characters are in the flux of their own fictional history, and are colored by the beliefs that have benefitted them, but I'm not countenancing any of the clearly evil ideas of the Age of Sail. What am I for though? That's more to the point.
